Hairstylist and Educator Dinah Le Franc is an artist who views hair as both her canvas and a gateway to transformation. With over 20 years of hands-on experience, she blends technical mastery, innovation, and a nurturing spirit in every service. Known for her calm confidence and intuitive approach, Dinah makes each client feel truly seen and cared for.
In 2018, Dinah founded Coiffed 220, a Brooklyn, NY salon created in honor of her late mother, who first sparked her love for hair. The name held dual meaning — “coiffed” translates to elaborate hairstyle in French, while “220” paid tribute to her mother’s birthday and legacy. For seven years, Coiffed 220 was more than a salon; it was a destination for beauty, creativity, and community. It became a space where Dinah mentored rising stylists, expanded her entrepreneurial voice, and cultivated a loyal community of women who trusted her artistry.
It was within this chapter that Dinah honed the techniques and philosophies that now define her work. Raised in Brooklyn in a bilingual, culturally rich household, Dinah carries the influence of her Haitian roots, which flow through her artistry. She coined the term “Haitian Trim” as a playful nod to heritage and the importance of routine trims. She is celebrated for her transformative color and texture services, including her signature Coiffed Color Melt and Flossy Glossy Silk Press. Dinah’s guiding principle is always hair and scalp health — pairing bold, fashion-forward styles with care that ensures long-term vitality.
Her work has reached millions on social media and been featured on platforms such as Behind the Chair and The Cut Life, as well as in publications including Essence and Elle.
Educator & Mentor
As an educator, Dinah is committed to passing on her knowledge. She has taught on international beauty stages, led private workshops, and mentored stylists one-on-one. A member of the Wella Passionista Program, she has also served as a platform artist for Texture vs. Race and Essations Pro, championing education that celebrates the beauty and diversity of textured hair.

Now, as she closes the chapter of Coiffed 220, Dinah steps into a new era under her own name: Dinah Le Franc. As of November 2025, she embraces her role as a bi-coastal stylist and educator, expanding her practice to Texas while continuing to serve her New York City community.
